![]() ![]() ![]() i am running a 12 sub off a pioneer amp using line level inputs. currently it is stock sony stereo with the factory sub replaced. wanting to pull the trigger on some new gear for my truck. I agree, the non Sony system is pretty bad, IMO. Stereo/Audio - 2014 with sony system upgrade - been lurking around these stereo pages for a while. insight anyone? That's why I'm looking, I had a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder with the Bose Premium Sound in it, let me tell you that thing ROCKED! I keep telling my wife the thing I miss the most from my Nissan is the sound system. This in and of itself doesn’t seem untraditional. We installed a set of BLAM Signature Series S 165.80+ components in the doors and dash. It sounds like many of us did not take the time to really try out the non-sony stereos before purchase. The next step is where our plan diverged from the client’s original vision. I also dont want a large subwoofer enclosure in the back. I love my truck, but spend so much time in it the stereo needs an upgrade and i dont want to start running a custom system like I have in the past. I would need all speakers and new A-pillar covers with the tweeters - the full deal. Has anyone made the attempt to upgrade to the Sony stereo from premium? I would think that most of the wiring is in place, including the subwoofer hookup. ![]() work well, but the sound the speakers deliver leaves a lot to be desired. Has anyone attempted this? I have the so called premium stereo in my FX4 and am very dissapointed in the speaker system - the controls /cd player etc. ![]()
